Huawei's Intel-powered MateBook D launches in the U.S. starting at $999

If you're a fan of Huawei's premium laptops, but don't want to drib the big bucks on the high-end MateBook X Pro, the company has a new improver to its lineup that may show attractive. Huawei today launched the Intel-powered variant of its MateBook D in the U.S., packing some powerful specs at a starting price of $999.

Huawei already unleashed i version of the MateBook D on the U.Due south. market before this year with a variant powered by an AMD Ryzen processor at a much lower price of $629. The Intel version steps things upwards a notch by packing in your option of either an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U or i7-8550U processor.

On the graphics front, the Intel version switching things up from Radeon's Vega8 graphics to a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX150 chip. Information technology also sports more storage options, with either a 256GB or 512GB SSD. Other than those differences, the Intel version shares the aforementioned 8GB of LPDDR3 retention, 1MP forepart-facing camera, and xiv-inch 1080p screen. Power is also once again supplied by a unmarried USB-C cable.

The MateBook D certainly looks to be a viable selection for anyone who likes Huawei's styling but is turned off by its college-priced offerings. Starting today, you can selection up the Core i5 version at Amazon, Newegg, and B&H for $999. The Cadre i7 version is available only from the Microsoft Store for $1,099.
